Eleven years of work, two plants, and one accountable chain.
Kalag designs, manufactures and installs structural and architectural systems across Iraq — steel and space-frame structures, GRP and GRC cladding, tensile canopies, overhead cranes, landscape works and ready-mix concrete.
What separates the company from most contractors is ownership of production. Two plants of our own mean the drawing, the mould, the panel and the crew fitting it all answer to the same party.
From fabrication work in 2015 to owning the whole chain.
- 2015
The first years
Steel fabrication and cladding work delivered as a specialist subcontractor — the trade learned on live sites, in Iraqi conditions.
- Growth
Façade systems
GRP and GRC programmes on universities and hotels, including 4,000 m² of GRC façade at Al-Shaab University and full domes and galleries in GRP.
- Own production
Two plants
The Erbil plant for GRP, GRC and steel — moulds included, produced in-house. The Baghdad plant for ready-mix concrete.
- Today
Design–manufacture–install
Delivered projects across Baghdad and Erbil, delivered under one scope: engineering, production and installation by Kalag.
Milestone years to be confirmed with the client
We manufacture what we install.
Two production sites, both ours. Nothing is subcontracted out and quoted back to the client — and no schedule depends on a third party’s queue.
Mould production in Erbil runs in partnership with MF Çelik Yapı (Turkey), and the moulds themselves are made inside our plant — a Turkish engineering partnership plus in-house tooling, rather than one or the other.
